Wea Tribal Loans exists to make short-term borrowing transparent before the application, not after the contract. We publish the legal limits, fees, statutes and regulators for every state we cover, and every cost example on this site is computed from published state rules rather than invented for effect.
What we are: a free referral service connecting applicants with independent participating lenders, compensated by lenders and never by applicants. What we are not: a lender, a broker making credit decisions, a guarantor of approval, and, just as plainly, not a tribe and not affiliated with any federally recognized Native American tribe. The name of this site is a brand, nothing more.
Editorial standards
- Facts from primary sources. Caps, fees, statutes and regulator details come from state statutes and regulator publications, refreshed on a scheduled review cycle.
- Costs shown as math. Wherever we quote a loan cost, the page shows the inputs that produced it.
- Named accountability. Every state page and calculator carries a named reviewer (below).
- No approval promises. We reject “guaranteed approval” framing everywhere it appears, including in offers we choose to display.
Our reviewers
June Kessler
Financial writer, lead editor
June has covered consumer credit and state lending law since 2017. She maintains the state tables on this site, verifies every cost example against the underlying statute, and refuses to publish a rate she cannot trace to a regulator's own publication.
Ray Drummond
Reviewer, credit counseling background
Ray spent a decade as a certified credit counselor helping households climb out of short-term debt cycles. He reviews every state page and calculator for the questions a counselor would ask: total cost, rollover risk, and the cheaper rungs worth trying first.
